It was there I stumbled on this pin which inspired my post today. Her chic ensemble got me thinking of ways I could incorporate white my Fall wardrobe. I came up with three easy ways to add white and get further use of items already in my closet.

According to my local meteorologist, Fall will arrive at 10:29pm tonight. While I am sad to see Summer go, Fall is one of my favorite seasons. And with the new season means new fashions! Woo hoo! Below are my favorite Fall pieces that I would love to add to my wardrobe. The Zara red satchel would be an awesome addition to my closet because it’s the perfect way to add a pop of color to my Fall outfits. If and when I get it, it’s gonna be in heavy rotation! Speaking of heavy rotation, if I had this leopard print coat from BB Dakota I would probably wear it to bed! It’s such a stylish way to combat the chilly temps as Fall transitions into Winter. Keeping with my love of prints, I’m loving the J Crew vibe these Lands’ End pants are giving me! I’m so happy that they didn’t exclude this print for plus size like some other brands do. Good job Lands End good job! Speaking of prints, nothing says Fall like plaid. By combining plaid and leather, Eloquii has breathed life in a long standing Fall staple. And nothing beats a sleek and stylish suede pump! I love how Ivanka Trump continues to provide low heel pumps that don’t attack you feet and has that “yasss” factor.

I have a confession to make, prior to this post I didn’t down a black suit! I know, I know…Im such a bad blogger! (LOL) A black suit it probably one of the most important items to have in your closet. It literally goes with everything which makes it your go to, especially during the work week. A black suit will never go out of style and it looks good on EVERYBODY. So when IGIGI asked me to review their Tabitha blazer and Melissa pant I took that as a sign that I needed a black suit ASAP!

The Tabitha blazer is cut large so you will have to size down. I initially got an 18 and it was huge! I exchanged it for the 16 and it fit much better. The Melissa pant is true to size and has a nice amount of stretch which makes them very comfortable to wear. I like that while the pants stretch, they don’t lose their shape which lessens sagging in the seat area. So if you’re in the market for a quality black suit, I would highly recommend IGIGI!

Yesterday, Sandra of La Pecosa Preciosa and I were talking about being plus sized and in our forties. We talked about how the stereotype that older plus size women have no style, wear moo moos and are uninterested in fashion continues to prevail. I’ve seen the clothing options for the supposedly “mature” plus woman and it makes me cringe! We like our younger plus size sisters, want access to quality, fashionable clothing too. Our style doesn’t suddenly disappear once we hit a particular age. If anything our style evolves because our views about how others see us changes. I can say without hesitation that I dress a thousand times better now at 42 than I ever did in my 20s & 30s. I don’t subscribe to “dressing my age” philosophies and I’m open to trying new things. Fifty percent of that is due to my self-confidence and the other is from the wisdom that comes with age. I would like to see brands acknowledge this and reach out to us too. Ask us what our lifestyle needs are so the clothing reflects that. Don’t just assume its stretchy pants, shapeless dresses and garish floral prints. We want to look good as we pursue our passions, help our children steer through adulthood, start or finish that degree or make a career change. Wanting to look good doesn’t change no matter what age we are. After all, style is FOREVER!
