I apologize for my lack of posting lately.  Blogging during the Winter can be a challenge due to obvious reasons.  Unfortunately due to the harsh weather, blogging had to take back seat.  Fortunately the weather has started to clear so I can finally get back to posting regularly.

As you all know, Spring is my favorite season.  Not only does Spring usher in long sunny days, it means new fashion trends.  One of the trends this season is the color green.  It’s a vibrant hue that is just as versatile as black and white.  It pretty much goes with any color you pair it with. I love combining green with other bold colors such as yellow and pink.  Wearing bright colors instantly lifts my mood, so this outfit definitely had me beaming. Plus this Eloquii suit is FIYAH!

As Valentine’s Day approaches, I am reminded of the power of love. While Valentine’s Day is typically set aside for the expression of romantic love, it has expanded to include all expressions of love.  Love is a like a noun.  It can apply to a person, place or thing. Love brings people together in harmony.  It can heal wounds and bring about forgiveness.  It grows and flourishes against all odds. Love is exhilarating and life changing.  It promotes self acceptance and respect.  Love never leaves you.  It lays dormant inside of us waiting to be awakened.  Love is like oxygen, you can’t live without it.

Happy Monday all!

I love to shop.  My love of shopping has gained me sizable  wardrobe that has taken up nearly all my closet space.  One would say I have more than enough but I don’t feel that way.   I’m constantly looking to add more when I simply don’t need it.   Shopping has done a number on my finances and I have begun recovering.  In my financial recovery, I know I need to stay within my budget.  At the beginning of this month I decided to challenge myself not to shop for 30 days.  I lasted 6 days before I stumbled.  Although I “relapsed”, I’m determined to see my challenge through.  The goal of this challenge is for me to become  content and satisfied with what I have. This is the first time I’ve really made a conscious effort to restrict my shopping. Shopping had become a coping mechanism and now that I’ve cut back I’m learning how to deal with difficult feelings.  Slowly I’m beginning to unlearn poor habits and have begun to be creative with my wardrobe.  I still have a long road ahead of me but I am confident that I will learn to be satisfied.
