I Love You Girl!

Happy Monday all!

In honor of Galentine’s Day I wanted to give a shout out to all my sister friends who show me immense love. I am extremely blessed to have amazing, beautiful and intelligent women supporting me.  They always keep it real even when I don’t want to hear it.  They call me out on my BS so I can continue to grow.  When my anxiety threatens to swallow me up they’re there to keep me from going under.  Without them I wouldn’t have made it through some of the most difficult events in my life.  My sister friends are the best in the world!  I love y’all!

Don’f forget to show your sister friend’s some love this Galentine’s Day!

Have a wonderful day!

Self Love For Valentine’s Day

TGIF y’all!

I love that Valentine’s Day is no longer only about folks in a relationship. Valentine’s Day has been reclaimed as a celebration of love in all its’ forms including self love. I’ve always felt the most  important relationship you have  is the one you have with yourself. That relationship easily shapes and defines your relationships with others . That’s why it’s so important to show yourself love not just on Valentine’s Day but everyday. Showing love to yourself can be as simple as practicing self care or treating yourself to those shoes you’ve been stalking online. It can also mean banishing negative thoughts and forgiving yourself.   So this Valentine’s Day show yourself all the love you can stand!

Have a wonderful day!

Marrakesh Highlight: Jardin Majorelle feat. Lane Bryant

Happy Monday y’all!

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Marrakesh, Morocco.  Marrakesh had been on the top of my travel bucket list for years. I was supposed to go last January with my friend Nicole but things didn’t pan out.  Fortunately we were able to finally make our Marrakesh dream come true a year later.

Jardin Majorelle was the first place I visited once I got to Marrakesh. The botanical garden was created by French artist Jacques Majorelle in 1923.   I knew for my first day of sightseeing I wanted to wear a  cute but comfortable dress.  Lane Bryant’s Lena hi-lo polka dot dress completely fit the bill. Jardin Majorelle was everything I hoped it would be.  It was gorgeous, lush and majestic.  It was almost as if I were transported to another time and space. Since I arrived right after the garden opened I had parts of the garden to myself before the masses arrived. Spread over two and a half acres I spent the morning leisurely wandering around the garden taking it all in.

My visit to Jardin Majorelle was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. I have more sightseeing to share about Marrakesh so stay tuned!

Have a wonderful day!

New Year…Same You

Happy Tuesday all!

With a new year right around the corner the assumption is  that everyone is making resolutions.  While I think resolutions are great they aren’t for everyone. It’s okay if you don’t have any or are continuing to work on issues from the previous year. The new year doesn’t mean you have to become a brand new person. Contrary to popular belief change takes time.  So don’t feel pressured or obligated to make resolutions.   Don’t feel bad if you’re carrying issues over into the new year.  There is no time limit or deadline for change.  Also change occurs at your own pace so don’t feel rushed.  The only thing that matters is that you feel comfortable about the person you are becoming.

Have a wonderful day and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
