Happy Monday all!
Leopard print is one of those things you can either love or hate. I own leopard print flats but that was as far as I was willing to go until I saw this ASOS pencil skirt on their website (its sold out now) . Its has a body con fit to it but I like it! I didn’t want to wait to wear it for night out with the girls so I decided to start the week off wearing something bold. I figured my black peplum shirt and blazer would tone it down for the work place. I wore my peeptoe slingbacks to keep things tame (no pun intended). I topped the look off with gold accessories, nothing too flashy. I can definitely see myself wearing this through the Fall and Winter with black tights, a leather blazer and heeled booties.
On a serious note, I recommend reading this post on Full Figure Plus. It’s a great article about size acceptance and not crucifying your body. It made me think about the way I talk to myself at times. While I’ve come far in my self love journey, there is still work to do. I hope by reading this article you can feel less judgemental about your body.
Would you dare to wear leopard? Have a great evening!

You look fabulous!~ I have that peplum top and I love it! I also love leopard… probably more than any one girl should. I have multiple tops, dresses, shoes, purses, and bottoms all in leopard prints. It’s an addiction really. lol.

LOL…thats awesome! I can see how addictive it can be!
First, I love the outfit. You did a great job styling the skirt to be work appropriate. I can’t wait to see how you style it for a night out!
Second, I think the self love thing is something MOST women struggle with, regardless of size. I know I constantly focused on my “flaws” through my teens and 20s. Now I look back and think I was crazy! I was a size 8 with lots of curves.
Now I’m a 16 with lots of curves and I’m much more accepting of my body. This is partly due to maturity, partly due to having people close to me speak positively about my appearance, and partly due to reading blogs like yours. 🙂

Thank you so much for being so supportive of my blog. I know what you mean about focusing on your flaws. Its so easy to do but so hard to stop. I feel honored that my blog helps you feel more accepting of your body. 🙂
I love the outfit. Leopard is so versatile. I think the curve hugging skirt is very flattering on you!

You look fantastic … just the right amount of everything! I’m saving this look for spring/summer … I have been on the hunt for a pattern for a peplum top as I think I may go crazy on it I like it that much.

Thank you so much!
its such a perfect look – i am a recent convert to leopard print, and i love it! i have been toying with the idea of a leopard pencil skirt and you have convinced me – its such a subtle yet sexy look and so feminine, the shoes are gorgeous (i love all your shoes! you are always impeccible with your mani and pedi – i am appalling in this area! my feet deserve better!) the body acceptance post is great – i think its amazing so many people are all making progress towards true body acceptance, and realising that every part of our bodies is actually beautiful – i confess my tummy is/was my sore point – but by recognising the beauty of other plus size ladies i am recognising it in myself, and it feels good x

Yes! Your comment says it all. No one is perfect so love the skin youre in. Thank you for your lovely comments. They mean so much to me!
This look is so classically chic, and dare I say sexy? It’s one of those instances of not needing to show a lot of skin to look hot. Swap out the sensible black pumps for some red stilettos and throw on some sparkly jewelry and you’ve got a great date/ girls’ night outfit.
Ok, I’ll stop creeping on you now.

Thank you for providing a forum for not only curvy women but grown and curvy women. I love reading the blogs but sometime I find myself thinking ” no honey that look is way to young for you”. I am tired of the yoyo diets and deciding to luv all of my lumps and bumps! lol…
You look great! I just discovered Asos (yeah better late than never) The curvy sections is great. I have found a lot of wonderful site thanks to you bloggers!
