Casual Friday/White Out

If you havent noticed yet, its BLAZING hot outside! Dressing for work during a heat wave can be challenging . Its been said that wearing light colors keeps you cool because it doesn’t absorb heat. With that in mind, what better color to wear in this massive heat wave but ALL WHITE!

I paired my white trouser jeans from Talbots Woman with my cowl neck H&M tee. I wore wedges to keep the hem of my pants from dragging on the pavement. I added my new multicolored beaded Old Navy necklace for some color ( I can’t go without color!). When I got to work, I wore my denim blazer to keep with the casual Friday dress code.

How are you keeping cool while dressing for work?

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Jeans: Talbots Woman

Tee: H&M

Necklace: Old Navy

Bracelet: Forever 21

Shoes: Steve by Steve Madden

I’m living in tank tops and skirts (or sleeveless dresses). Today I’m wearing a coral skirt and plum tank top. I’m getting adventurous with color πŸ™‚

I love wearing white, I work from home so it’s casual maxi dresses. I do not wear jeans in the summer, the thought makes me want to faint. I will probably wear white to church this weekend, thanks for the idea.

I know what you mean about jeans in the summer. I try to wear them on very mild days but I did okay with them yesterday.

Loving this look. I think the bright necklace really pulls it together. I bet it looked great with your denim blazer! I’ve been wanting a pair of white pants, but I just haven’t found any that aren’t see through. I’ll stick with my white denim shorts:)

You make a great point about white pants. I have a pair of cropped white pants & you can see straight through them! Argh!

Very chic! I love it! I’m always afraid to wear white. As a size 18, I feel like I’m too large to pull it off. I’m going to put away that way of thinking and move in confidence.

    • July 17, 2012 / 4:31 pm

Anyone can wear all white…period. I would love to see you rock an all white outfit! πŸ™‚
