You Snooze You Lose

Happy Monday all!

When I first laid eyes on this Jibri skirt, I gasped at how it was the perfect embodiment of my love of vivid colors and bold print.  I quickly snatched it up because I knew it would go fast (it sold out in 24hrs).   It always bothers me when I see great PS clothing quickly selling out.  While on one had it’s great for the designer/retailer but on the other many PS women miss out. I’m a firm believer that all PS woman deserve access to awesome clothing that caters to our personal taste.  Although this annoys me, I completely acknowledge that the clothing options for PS women has grown by tremendously.  I believe eventually  there be so many great clothing options to choose from, we wont need to rush and buy an item.

Have a wonderful day!

Winter Rewind

Happy Tuesday all!

Now that Winter has finally ended (even though the weather hasn’t gotten the memo yet!), I wanted to post a few of my favorite outfits from the past season.  While I completely hate Winter, I was able to try new things (monochrome) and still be stylish during the cold, dreary days!

Have a wonderful day!

Cool Culottes

Happy Saturday all!

Due to the snow (yes SNOW!) yesterday I decided to wait until today to post.  I’m SO happy I waited! Not only is the sun shining brightly, it’s the first full day of Spring! YAY!!!!

The last time I can remember wearing culottes I was maybe in the first grade. They were a faded memory until I saw Eloquii’s side zip culottes.  I was skeptical about how they would look on me but I decided to at least them a try.  And whaddya know….I absolutely love them!  The culottes fit wonderfully around my hips and hugs my curves.  If Eloquii had them in other colors besides black I would buy them all! That’s how much I love these pants!

Will you give culottes a try this Spring?

All Mixed Up With Foxcroft!

Happy Monday all!

When Foxcroft gave me the opportunity to review one of their great shirts again, I instantly picked this navy blue gingham one.  Gingham is one of this season’s biggest trends that you probably already have in your closet!   I’ve always been a fan of gingham because it’s a classic print that looks good on everybody. Inspired by one of my favorite designers Stella Jean, I paired my shirt with one of my favorite African print skirts.  I’ve seen this combo before on Pinterest and have been wanting to try it for awhile now. I’m no expert at mixing prints but I really like these two patterns together!

Will you give gingham a try this Spring?

Casual Friday: Not Just Yet!

TGIF all!

Winter has a funny way of reminding us that it’s still here.  After temps soared to over 60 degrees on Wednesday, they crashed back into the upper 30s this morning.  Needless to say, it can be frustrating figuring out what to wear when the weather swings from one extreme to another.  In my last post “Only The Essentials”,  I talked about using  layering to ward off the cold morning temperatures.  Light turtlenecks, long sleeve shirts and sweaters provide a good foundation for layering.  Add a blazer or denim jacket to these pieces for  extra warmth under your Spring coat (I do this a lot). Use the timeless combination of layering a sweater over a button up to keep the cold at bay.  As the temps rise during the day, you can shed the extra layers and still be comfortable!

What are some of your layering tricks during late Winter/early Spring?

Have a wonderful weekend!
