Casual Friday: Not Just Yet!

TGIF all!

Winter has a funny way of reminding us that it’s still here.  After temps soared to over 60 degrees on Wednesday, they crashed back into the upper 30s this morning.  Needless to say, it can be frustrating figuring out what to wear when the weather swings from one extreme to another.  In my last post “Only The Essentials”,  I talked about using  layering to ward off the cold morning temperatures.  Light turtlenecks, long sleeve shirts and sweaters provide a good foundation for layering.  Add a blazer or denim jacket to these pieces for  extra warmth under your Spring coat (I do this a lot). Use the timeless combination of layering a sweater over a button up to keep the cold at bay.  As the temps rise during the day, you can shed the extra layers and still be comfortable!

What are some of your layering tricks during late Winter/early Spring?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Layering seems to be the only way to go when the weather is so changeable. Unfortunately, there’s not much of that here in FL, it seems that one day it was gray, rainy and in the 50’s/60’s and the next it went to 89 degrees! That cape/trench is gorgeous though and the weather gives you an excuse to wear it!

OT, I notice that your sidewalk picture doesn’t include snow! Yay for small miracles. Spring is surely on it’s way.

I don’t layer much more than using some tank tops but this ensemble is so very chic, well done!
