TGIF all!
I’ve been eying the camo trend for a few weeks now and was toying with giving it a try. After checking out my blogger buddy Dionne in a pair of Old Navy camo print Rockstar jeans, I decided to order them. I have to admit when I got these pants I thought they might be too “young” for me. I didn’t want to seem like I was trying too hard but then I thought, why not? “Dressing your age” is another of those “fashion rules” that are meant to make women feel ashamed about aging. It’s based in this notion that women over 40 don’t have the right to be trendy or chic. That’s pure BS! I dress WAY better now than I did in my 20s and 30s! Style doesn’t die after 40, it changes and adapts to what you want it to be. Only you have the power to define who you are. Don’t let society’s skewered perception of older women stop you from wearing what you want.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you so much for this! I really, REALLY appreciate it!
I love that statement! Yes, I also dress so much better in my 40s than I did in my 20s and 30s. And I’m much happier with myself!

Absolutely! Thank you so much!
Hehe.Years ago there used to be this shop at the local mall that advertised “fashion for the over 30s”. In reality, it should have been named “fashion for the over 90s”. It was full of that waffle weave cotton, linen and so on, with huge embroidered flowers (you know.. not really embroidered, but rather prints of flowers that are then embroidered round the edges to attach them to the clothing), etc. It was ghastly stuff. Needless to say, I never set foot in that shop and I wonder how it ever lasted as long as it did. Your camo pants look great!

OMG, really?! Wonder why older women feel they cant be stylish! Older doesnt mean frumpy!
I am gonna be one rockin octogenerian, I tells ya!

YES! Rock it honey!
The fit on those pants looks great- do you like them? I was thinking about trying them out but ON always fits funny in the waist for me. These are so cute, I might give it a shot!

Thank you! I do like them but I must warn you, if you are hippy and have a big booty like I do, youre gonna have to go up 2 sizes. I initially ordered my size (a 20) and could barely get them on. I returned them & got a 24 (too make sure they wouldnt be too tight) and they fit perfectly. The jeans have stretch in them but they hold their shape well. Im much smaller in the waist so I just pop on a belt and Im good to go. They are very comfortable!
That’s REALLY helpful, thanks! The waist is always a problem for me with ON but a belt should solve that, good point. THANK YOU!
