I’m so sorry for your loss. I reblogged this post from Yvette who is shaving her head to bring awareness to this disease. As you are well aware cancer is such a horrible disease & her support of her friend is inspirational.

I support you as well…My Mom passed from Breast Cancer 6 years ago. I’m natural and often keep my hair low. Every time I get the urge to cut it back off once it has grown out, a feeling of being “Free” come over me once it’s gone…I often think of India Arie singing, “I’m not my hair”…So cutting it off & letting it grow back doesn’t effect me, because I don’t let my hair define the person who I am!!
I am so sorry for your loss. I rev logged this from Yvette one of my readers who is shaving her hair to support this cause. I wanted to share her story with my readers.
BTW I love that India Arie song!

what an amazing gift you are giving, cancer is a horrific and ruthless disease and too many times i have lost beautiful members of my family to it, any support is a fabulous way of feeling like we are standing up to it – my husband incidentally is almost upto £1000 to support a local hospice his Father stayed in – well done you thoughx
Good for you, and I support you 100%. I have been affected personally, my mother & sister both died from lung cancer.
