Happy Hump Day all!
To say it’s cold outside would be an understatement . It’s too cold to walk, talk, breathe…well you get the point. When it’s like this, all I want to do is bundle up and stay home but until I hit the Powerball lottery I have to go to work. So today’s post is about the 3 essentials I need to keep warm during these frigid days.
1. My puffer coat: I used to be in fear of looking like the Abominable Snowman in a puffer coat but after freezing last year, I decided to let that go and get one. After looking high and low for a good coat, I found this London Fog number on Macys website. What drew me to the coat was all the rave reviews it received. Not one person who bought it rated it under four stars. The coat isn’t bulky and is actually pretty light. The down fill has kept me warm and comfortable outside. Even when the wind is blowing I don’t feel the cold air. The coat is also water resistant so no more shoveling snow in a soggy coat. It also comes with a detachable faux fur lined hood.
2. My UGG Boots: I resisted getting a pair of UGG boots because everyone and their mom has a pair. My feet are the first thing that gets cold so I had to find a comfortable boot that keep them warm. Once I found a pair I liked (on sale no less!) I haven’t regretted my decision. I no longer worry about my feet becoming frozen blocks of ice when I walk to work from the train station.
3. My comfy scarf: I never leave my house without my comfy scarf. It may not look like much, but it does keep my face warm.
Well there you have it! What are you winter essentials?
Have a wonderful evening!
P.S. Sorry about no pics of the UGG boots. The pics came out too blurry. Sorry!

It’s way too hot to be even thinking about winter wear! I do have a pink ski jacket in my cupboard that my sister sent me two years ago from England – maybe I’ll actually fit into it by the time winter rolls around! Mind you, I do not ski, but a pink jacket – how cool! 😀

Pink jackets are cool indeed! I wish it was hot here 🙁
We don’t have snow in the Philippines so anything about snow excites me. 🙂 I want to experience it even just for a day and be in fab winter clothes. 🙂 I like your scarf! <3

Well I think we should trade places then! Ill hang out in the warm Phillipine sun and you can go sledding in the snow! I think its a great trade off! 🙂
Now I wonder where that Door-To-Other-Places is… 🙂 It works as if we’re just like neighbors. 🙂

I wish I knew! I would be there in a second!
Here in the So. Cali. coast it doesn’t get very cold…..3-4 nights in the 30’s….but that was last week and our winter is “over”. I can’t even wear pull-over sweaters because it’s too warm inside. I hear you about “Uggs” and would never purchase or wear them, but I can see why you would, being in Philly and all. And of course, you look adorable

Im SO jealous! I wish our winter was over too!
It’s cold here in the midwest and I want a pair of Uggs, and will start to shop and see if I can find them at a discount. I have to buy 3 pair, me and my mini me’s.

Awww! You and your mini me’s should all get the same color! They are very warm and comfy.
you look warm, cosy and chic, i lack any sense when it comes to staying warm, i decide quite certainly i will get a warm coat and every time buy something useless….. like a cape! and i loooove the cold weather and snow makes me all fuzzy x

A cape sounds so chic! You should wear it with elbow length gloves for a hint of drama!
I bought a down jacket I found at a thrift store a few years ago – it’s bright orange – and I think I have worn it twice since then. It was a little chilly last week – record lows at 20 or below – but now it’s back to normal winter temps for us – lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s or higher.

An orange down jacket sounds so much fun! Our temperatures seem to be going back to normal.
