TGIF all!
I want to apologize for the lapse in posting. I got sick on Monday and have been out of it until today. I had been having stomach problems for the past few weeks and I just chalked it up to being lactose intolerant. But on Tuesday, things got worse with severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. I knew then it was something more than just lactose intolerance. After spending a few hours in the ER and an ultrasound, I learned that I have gallstones which where causing my symptoms. The doctor advised me that I would have change my eating and adopt a low fat diet avoid further painful episodes. So no more fried and fatty foods which much to my dismay, has been the majority of my diet. It’s one thing to look good on the outside but it’s another to take shitty care of yourself inside. I’m not gonna lie, eliminating a lot of foods that I love has been downright frustrating, but it’s a must. I’ll still enjoy a french fry or naughty desert once in a while but just not every other day.
On a happier note, I feel better and what way to show that by wearing a great dress! When I was contacted by IGIGI to review one of their dresses, I nearly did a somersault! I’ve been a huge fan of IGIGI for a while now, so this was an awesome opportunity. I picked the Isolde Belted Dress in Parisian Green because I wanted something different from the dresses that I normally wear. IGIGI doesn’t shy away from the full figure, they embrace it. The material is not flimsy or thin. It’s well constructed and contours to your body but not constricting. The shape of the dress definitely holds up during the day. I could easily move around due the stretch in the dress. The dolman sleeves don’t swallow up the dress like some dolman sleeve dresses do. I didn’t feel like I had bat wings or extra material under my arms. I like showing off my shape so this might be a little too fitted for some, but go up a size if you want a looser fit. You will still look fabulous!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Dress: IGIGI (gifted)
Belt: Eloquii (a belt comes w/the dress, but I decided to wear this one)
Super cute dress. You look awesome!
You look AMAZING in that dress! Hugs your curves in all the right places. I had gallstones as a kid (which is super uncommon) and had my gallbladder removed when I was 12 because even a few bites of ice cream would trigger an attack. It’s worth diet changes to end the pain! Good luck!

You are so right! Im so used to eating the wrong kinds of food, I forgot how many good, tasty things there are to eat. This diagnosis has definitely had me making drastic life changes.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! 🙂
I love love love that whole outfit. I would wear the whole thing. I even got some little suede angle booties that would look fantastic with it.
I’m also glad your feeling better now. Don’t slim down too much with your low fat diet though, I’m loving this blog.

I’m so glad you are fixing the health issue. And you look awesome in that dress. It’s a different color – sort of teal – and a great color.

The color of the dress is what drew me to it. Its actually a hunter green in person which I love pairing with gold accessories.
This is Lovely. That belt is in my Limited shopping cart. Can’t wait to get it.

Awesome! The belt is a great addition to any outfit!
That’s awful about the gallstones, but I totally understand how you feel.. I am angry at myself for being so unhealthy and not taking care of myself like I should. I have “pre-diabetes” and I have been trying to be healthier since this summer. It’s definitely not fun or easy!
That IGIGI dress looks like it was made for you! Super gorgeous!

Thank you so much! Im glad you can understand where Im coming from. Finding out about the gallstones was definitely a wake up call to eating better & taking better care of myself.
You look great in that dress-I love it with that belt! I am a med student and had my gallbladder removed last May…you need to be very careful now, not only with eating but adopting a more active lifestyle. It will help. You may not have to get it removed then. Good luck. I enjoy the blog.

Great read…I also had gall stones and one very painful gall attack…yes please take care of yourself but at this point the only solution to never have an attack again is to have the gall bladder removed. Stay well, eat right and do your research

Thank you very much! I havent had an attack since I started eating healthier so I plan to continue on this path.
