Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m posting today because I had to work late last night and by the time I got home I was pooped!
Inspired by Selah, I decided to wear my first pair of printed pants today. Trust me this is a HUGE deal for me because I believed I couldn’t pull them off. After seeing printed pants everywhere (okay not everywhere, but it felt like that to me! LOL), I decided to dive in. It always feels good to thumb my nose at “rules” that say plus size women shouldnt wear certain things. I like proving them wrong!
On a side note I will be walking the runway during Fashion Night Out next week! This year Fashion Night Out has expanded to Philadelphia (as well as NYC and other cities) and the event (being sponsored by the fabulous Karima from the Skinny Minority) will take place in the Downtown Macy’s on Thursday, September 6th at 6:30pm. Karima kindly offered me the opportunity to participate and I graciously accepted. I’m beyond excited to be apart of this event showcasing curvy/plus size fashion! If you’re in the area come down and support the event!
Would you dare to wear printed pants?
Have a great evening!

I almost returned them because at first I didnt like them, but they quickly grew on me!
Oh, you carry it off so well! And the red shoes are a great accent!! I wear all kinds of prints and patterns, but only in pants or skirts. I tend to stay with mostly solid color blouses and tops – I don’t like having ‘busyness’ next to my face. I know that’s weird, but I never liked patterns or prints in tops on me.
I don’t think that’s weird. Everyone is comfortable with different things. I wear prints on top but I don’t like statement necklaces (on me) or ruffles on the front on my shirt. They feel too busy to me.

I understand completely. Some printed tops are too strong to be worn with necklaces.

Awww thank you hon! I had wedge heels to wear with the pants but totally forgot them when I took the pics! LOL
Awesome pants! The pattern mimics a textured bouclé from a distance – so lush and luxurious-looking, and perfect with the peplum. You are going to rock that runway!
