Casual Friday/Pink Friday

TGIF everyone!

This is the fourth time I’ve posted an outfit wearing these pink cropped pants, so needless to say, I love them very much!   Before I packed them away for the Fall/Winter,  I wanted to give them one last hurrah.  What better day than  Friday to wear these bright, fun pants!  I added  a black & white  striped  sweater, black flats and a flowered necklace (my newest love!) to complete my look.  I must say I feel very Kate Spade-ish in this outfit!  I’m sad to see the pants go, but don’t worry they’ll be back!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Monday everybody!

I should be relaxing on my day off  but  instead I’m trying to finish up my  “To Do” list from the weekend.  When I usually  run errands  I wear jeans, sneakers and a sweater because its quick and easy.  Today I updated my errand “uniform” because you can be stylish and comfortable while going to the grocery store.  Instead of wearing jeans, I wore red cords for a pop of color. I decided to substitute the sweater with a denim shirt.   I slipped on leopard print flats which are just as comfortable as  my sneakers.  By making these simple changes  my boring errand “uniform” turned  into a cute outfit.

Do you have an errand “uniform”? If so, how would you make it more stylish?

Have a wonderful day!

Casual Friday/Denim on Denim

TGIF everybody!

Denim skirts and I have a temperamental relationship.  I love them but whenever I try one on, it never seems to fit  right!  Either the skirt gapes in the waist  or has too much stretch in it which causes the skirt to rise way above my knees when I walk.  After trying on several of them, I going to give up until I saw this dark rinse skirt on Lands End’s website.  Since I had a 30% off code, I decided to take a chance and ordered it.  When I got it I immediately put it on and I was not disappointed! The skirt is the perfect fit and length for me.  The skirt  has  elastic bands at the waist that eliminates gaping (the elastic waist is completely unnoticeable). There is right amount of stretch in the skirt that stops it from rising above my knees.

I paired my skirt with my polka dot denim shirt from Old Navy (go get this shirt!), red flats for a pop of color and a sliver  chain necklace to finish off my Casual Friday look.  The skirt is currently on sale here with an additional 30% off.  Happy shopping!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Its Hard to Say Goodbye

TGIF all!

Since today is the last day of summer, I wanted to say goodbye by wearing a fun, colorful outfit.  This summer I took my love for color to new heights and wore combinations I wouldn’t have dared to try last year.  I was bolder and more creative with my clothing choices. Heck I even posted a  picture of myself in a bathing suit !

So farewell summer, Ill see you again next year!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Hump Day all!

I have a confession to make… I’m obsessed with leopard print!   From shoes to skirs to sweaters, you name it I got it!  I know this  print can be scary for some but I’m here to tell you there’s  nothing to fear!  The items below can easily be added into your wardrobe.   You can wear leopard print from the supermarket to the office, it’s all about how you incorporate it.  Try mixing a leopard print top with red, black or cobalt blue jeans. Add a cardigan to a black dress or wear a trench with your jeans and t-shirt to instantly update your look.  If you’re looking to try something new this fall,  give leopard print a whirl!

Have a wonderful day!
