Office Holiday parties can be either fun or boring depending on the relationship you have with your co-workers. Attending your work party shouldn’t add to the stress of the season. Here are a few tips on how to make the most of your office holiday party!
- Be Social: Mingling is a great way to get know co-workers you may have little contact with during your workday. If you’re not comfortable talking to someone you don’t know its okay to gravitate towards familiar faces.
- Smile: Yes, smile and make eye contact. You don’t want to be the Grinch at the party.
- Participate: If your office party has entertainment like dancing get out there and jiggy with it! Participate in your office Pollyanna or Secret Santa gift exchanges. This way you get a little gift for coming!
- Have an exit strategy: If office parties aren’t your thing but you’re mandated to be there, make the most of your time and break out.
