Happy Monday all!
When a major holiday like Independence Day falls on a Tuesday or Wednesday it can put a bit of cramp on holiday plans. Knowing that you have to go to work the next day means you have to be smart with how you celebrate the holiday. Here are a few ideas on how to maximize your middle of the week day off!
- Start your BBQ /holiday celebration in the early afternoon. Day parties are awesome because they usually end by 8pm. This definitely gives you enough time to get into bed at a reasonable hour.
- Opt for the pool instead of the beach. Who wants to sit in traffic on the way to and from the beach? Going to the beach on the 4th of July is too time consuming. While everyone is at the beach, take advantage of your local pool which will be less crowded.
- Head to the matinee. Taking in an early movie means less people and cheaper prices especially on a weekday.
- Watch the fireworks from the comfort of your home. Most major cities broadcast their massive 4th of July celebrations. Gather the family around the TV and watch the fireworks without the massive crowds, oppressive heat and scarce port-a-potties!
Whatever you do this July 4th, have a great time and be safe!
Have a wonderful day!
