Happy Monday all!
Sorry for not posting last week. I had a lot of stuff going on and I fell behind. I promise to be more consistent to minimize any gaps in posting.
My trip to Havana was so amazing I keep wishing I could go back! I had such a fantastic time with my travel divas Ivory from Ivory Jinelle and Dionna from Made Me Pretty. Before we headed to Havana, we did A LOT of research about to expect in Cuba. One of the of the tips we came across was not to check a bag. From what we read there was a possibility we could wait 2-4 hours to get our checked luggage. Not wanting to risk it, we all decided to be Team Carry On for this trip. Being Team Carry On forced me to only take what I needed which honestly was enough for this trip. I never felt like I didn’t have anything to wear and was able to make multiple outfit changes. Also if felt good to just walk off the plane and leave without waiting around for a checked bag. While I’m not fully on Team Carry On, I’m slowly coming around to being a full time member!
Have a great day!

It looks like a good time was had by all. It always pays to do some research and it sounds like you guys made the right choice in carry ons only. It takes some creativity but with the right packing techniques and thin fabrics (luckily Cuba is warm is doesn’t require clothing made with bulky fabrics) it can be done. Glad you enjoyed yourself!

You are so right! I rolled up my clothes as tightly as possible and surprisingly I got a lot in that little bag!
I definitely waited 2 hours for my luggage. I have No idea why it takes them so long to bring it over. It’s like they are walking each piece over by hand.

OMG!!! I was leaning towards checking my bag but I changed my mind last minute. Sorry you had that experience!
You look amazing! Especially love the orange/multi color maxi dress. And of course, your smile throughout. 🙂
Just discovered your blog – Love it and the great ideas! Keep them coming! I would love to join Team Carryon…I am taking babysteps — trying to pack less and less with each trip. I will get there!
