TGIF all!
I’ve never really considered myself to be “busty” or having a large chest. When I was younger I seesawed between a D and DD cup which was fine with me at the time. During those years, buttons loved me and I had no complaints. Unfortunately as the years have progressed so has my weight which means my bust size has increased. Now buttons don’t love me as much and I find myself avoiding them due to pulling around the bust line. Although my breasts are staging a button boycott, I still love cute button up tops. So when I saw this H&M + chambray ruffled blouse I instantly fell in love and immediately ordered it. Honestly, I should’ve know better because H&M plus sizing is on the SMALL end of the spectrum. To get an item to fit properly you have to go up at least 2-3 sizes. I should’ve abandoned my quest there but I couldn’t help myself. I got the blouse earlier this week and guess what…it gaps at the bust (whomp, whomp!). Despite this I refused to get down on my boobs. I’m not the first nor am I the last busty gal to struggle with proper fitting button up shirts. Now I know H&M+ button up shirts aren’t going to work for me. Since I’ve already worn the shirt, returning it isn’t an option. Besides I love how it looks on me so I’m going to get it tailored so it can fit properly. So after I did some creative pulling and tucking to get my blog pics, I took it off and wore another blouse to work. As they say, c’est la vie!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Too bad the blouse pulls because otherwise it looks super cute on you! Maybe you can find something similar elsewhere…Thanks for your blog – I always enjoy reading it.

Thank you so much for supporting my blog!
Amazingly cute!!! Have you tried double sided tape on your button down shirts. It works for me most of the time 🙂 Especially on the gaps that aren’t that large.

No I never tried it before! Thank you so much for the suggestion!!!
I’ve also done the double-sided tape but it’s not that strong so really it has to be just a slight gap. I can only wear button-downs when the fabric is stretchy since I am definitely a busty gal. The top does look really cute besides that!

This happens to me too. I have to buy much bigger shirts if they have buttons. It’s lovely on you though.
