TGIF all!
First I want to thank everyone for their kind words regarding my last post. Your words helped me slowly come out of my funk. While I’m still hurt and angry about the situation in this country, I know I need to do my part in helping to affect change. My anger and hurt has helped reinvigorate my commitment to be more active in my community. I used to volunteer and be a Big Sister but I had allowed that to fade away. The events of the past two weeks have driven home the fact I cannot afford sit on sidelines anymore. I can either choose sit and stew in my anger or I can use it as a personal call to arms. I choose the later because seething in anger isn’t going to create change and progress. Like the saying goes “don’t talk about…be about it”, I plan to do exactly just that.
Have a wonderful weekend!
