Happy Hump Day all!
Last weekend my blogger boo Style Over Size invited me to a People Style Watch magazine shopping event at Tanger Outlet in Deer Park, NY. When she initially invited me I was a little hesitant because of the lack of plus size options at the outlet (there was only a Torrid and Lane Bryant). When I went over to Tanger’s website, I saw that they had plus friendly stores such as Old Navy, Loft and Gap so I felt a bit better because I always have success shopping at these stores. While I was grateful for the opportunity, it highlighted the shopping struggles PS women face daily. I look forward to the day when I’ll be able to walk into stores and buy clothes without difficulty.
Beyond that issue, I had such a great time with my blogger boo and the folks at People Style Watch. I’ve been subscribing to the magazine for the past 3 years so I was really geeked to be apart of such an event. They gave us a $250 Tanger Outlet gift card to purchase an outfit which we had to style to enter into their contest with Tanger. The winning look would win a $5,000 gift card to Tanger (whoa!). Unfortunately my look didn’t win (wah!!!) but I did get to meet one of my favorite bloggers, Courtney from Color Me Courtney! She and her boyfriend were super sweet and completely approachable. I did fan girl a little when I saw her because I absolutely LOVE her blog and Instagram account. Seeing how serious she takes her content has helped me to step up my efforts on the blog and my various social media accounts.
Have a wonderful day!

Oh, man! I wish I’d known that was happening, I live near there and would have gone, boo! How would I learn about things like this in my area?

I understand what you mean by shopping options for us plus size gals. It is getting a little, tiny bit better. The best option is online shopping still. Especially as we get older . . . I am getting too old for Torrid but not old enough . . .
