Happy Monday all!
Being single the majority of the time for me is a blessing. It affords me freedom to just get up and go. While I would love to have a family, I haven’t met the right man yet so I decided long ago I was not going to allow my status to stop me from experincing life. I’ve travelled to the Summer Olympics (in 1996), EPCOT Center and multiple cities alone. Yes it’s scary at first traveling by alone but I’m used to it. So yesterday morning I decided to go to the Barnes Foundation (a MUST see if you love museums) for their First Sunday event. It was a gorgeous Summer day and I thoroughly enjoyed spending my morning among the beautiful works of Matisse, Cezanne and Picasso.
So if you’re single like me, don’t despair, get up and go!
Have a wonderful day!

Love the outfit! Such a creative and cheerful mix, yet again. You’re an inspiration to me, and I admire your positive approach to life. Go, girl!
You go girl! X
Before I met my husband I was single for 9 years and I had a whale of a time doing all kinds of interesting stuff and doing whatever I wanted. While I love being married and my husband is awesome I sometimes miss that freedom.
I simply love travelling alone. It’s the best way to see what you want to see without anyone disrupting your plans or whining that they don’t want to see/do/eat that. The only time having a travel partner could be better than travelling alone is when you need to go to the toilet and they can mind your suitcase. Saying that, I am happily married and just love travelling WITH my husband, but pre-husband days, I just adored travelling by myself. I went on a round the world trip once and the only part of it I was by myself was on one single flight. Other than that, my friend met me in London. I traveled to Morocco with the friend and my sister. Then another friend met me in Thailand. Another friend traveled the USA with me…. it was, quite frankly, exhausting! Even on the very last portion of the trip, a work colleague got wind of the fact that I was somewhere and came and crashed on my hotel room floor!!!! And was on the same flight home as I was. Exhausting!
You are beautiful and fierce! I love your sense of style and, more importantly, I love your sense of SELF.
Thanks for the inspiration!
