Happy Hump Day all!
As the title states, this is the swimsuit edition of the 30 Plus Style Collaboration. At first I was stoked because I’ve lost over 10lbs and have become more active in my life. I can see the changes working out and eating healthier has had on my body and I like it! On top of all of this I found an fab bathing suit from Swim Suits For All to show off my curves. So imagine my dismay when the first set of pics I took didn’t come out the way I wanted. Disappointed with the pictures, I instantly went back to that place of being critical of my body. After a minute (or two) of “woe as me”, I stopped putting myself down and decided to retake the pictures. And guess what, everything came out perfectly!
So I’ll end with this…”If at first you don’t succeed…try, try, try again”

You look beautiful! I’m so glad you adjusted your attitude and realized that YOU weren’t the problem – that’s such a mature (and extremely difficult) thing to do. <3

Thank you so much! It was hard but I had to get the pictures done!
You look so relaxed it took me awhile to notice you’re awesome bathing suit! Love the color blocking, and the colorful stripes action reminds me of those little boys’ t-shirts from the early 80s (which are about a million percent cute).

Awww thank you! I remember those shirts too! LOL
That suit is lovely!

Thank you hon!
I love your attitude about retaking the pictures. It wasn’t you, or the swimsuit that was the problem. It was just the photos. I love that. 🙂 The color combo is so fun and has a bit of a 90’s vibe to it. Adorable!
I just went through the dreaded swimsuit search myself after too many years of wearing the same sad one. I ended up finding a cute pink, black, and white swimdress. And this one was made for me, plus size me! (Unlike a black and white swimdress I picked up from Target years ago, only to get it home and realize it was a Liz Lange maternity suit. That’s what happens when plus and maternity sections are crammed so close together! Still, I wore it with pride.)

Im so glad Im not the only one who hates when them cram plus & maternity together. Sometimes the maternity clothing is better than the plus! So sad!
Since I bought a swim bra last year, I dont dread swimsuit shopping anymore. Having that extra support has opened so many swimsuit choices for me!
You look awesome and confident! Love the color blocking and stripes. You continue to encourage me on my journey 🙂

You look radiant and ready for a jump in the waters. Love the colorful mix on stripes, as stripes are one of my fave prints.
Author
Thank you! The stripes was the number one reason I bought the suit! 🙂
I really love that swimsuit and it looks great on you. I know it is very hard to
always maintain a positive attitude about ourselves but at the end of the day, we discover what you discovered, that it is always in our power to change our thinking.
Thanks for your wonderful blog!
So damn cute!
