Happy Hump Day!
When I was asked by Joi from In My Joi to join her 30+ Style Collaboration along with other wonderful bloggers, I jumped at the opportunity. The collaboration aims to show plus women over 30 that your style doesn’t fade or become irrelevant, in fact it gets better! This collaboration speaks right to my belief that “style has no age or size” and I love it!
Our first style challenge is our take on Pantone colors for Spring.
I decided to challenge myself and not go with an easy color like dazzling blue. I chose hemlock because it looks close to mint green, a color I rarely wear. I kept my promise to shop my closet and found a pair of mint greenish crops from Talbot Woman I picked up on sale a few years back. I only seemed natural to pair them with my white blazer and add my purse for a pop of color. To keep my outfit from becoming too boring, I wore my silver oxfords for a little pizzazz. Overall I’ll be giving hemlock/mint green another go this Spring. I think these Pantone people might be on to something after all! 😉 Pants: Talbots Woman (very old)
Blazer: Tahari Woman (bought last Spring)
Shirt: Lane Bryant (VERY old)
Oxfords: Forever 21 (here)
Bag: Coach (bought last Winter)

Have a wonderful day!
Nice outfit! I’m a pastel/electric color girl myself, and no oranges, yellows, blacks, or whites. Cayenne would be iffy, but the rest would work for me. I don’t usually pay attention to what’s ‘in’ but just wear what I like and that’s comfortable; especially now I’m retired. I need to buy some new T-shirts!

Thank you! You hit the nail on the head when you say you “just wear what I like and that’s comfortable..” Thats what its all about!
I love it, you guys look great! I love the hair and shoes and the fact that you shopped your closet!

Thank you! Im really, really trying not to shop (its been EXTREMELY hard) so shopping my closet has been my thing lately.
You did Hemlock and Freesia – fun! I’m going to be participating in a Pantone link up on 3/25, and I’m planning four outfits – I’m so excited! The link up is at my friend Alex’s blog http://undergraduatestyle.blogspot.com

Thank you so much! Im becoming a huge fan of hemlock!
This is an excellent collaboration… love the idea! And extra brownie points because you chose a comparatively difficult hue ( which you have done complete justice to) Seriously so inspirational for anyone over 30.

Thank you so much! Im glad you enjoyed the collaboration. We aim to show all women after 30 that style doesn’t fade!
I love to wear black/white/red and have been enjoying yellow lately.
But, in fact, I’ve been seeing this colour (hemlock… mint?) everywhere. I’ll try it some time.
Take care!
