Getting Through The Post Holiday Slump

Happy Monday all!

Are you like me and find yourself feeling “blah” now that the holidays are over?   During the holidays there is so much excitement and energy but once it’s over, its back to business as usual.  I know it can be a little  hard to move past the holidays so here are few tips to get through the post holiday slump.

  1. Get Outside: Even though it’s cold, still get outside the house.  Staying indoors is one way to keep yourself in mired in a slump.  Make a brunch date with your girlfriends.  Go to a matinee.  Volunteer your services to a local charity.  So get out of bed, throw on some clothes and get out there!
  2. Treat Your Self: You know I am a huge advocate for treating one self.  Schedule a full body massage.   Buy that new shade of lipstick that pops against your skin (I bought this Lancome lipstick for NYE and it looks FABULOUS on me!).  Treat yourself to that restaurant that has been on your “to do” list since the Summer. Now that the holidays are over you can put yourself first!
  3. Reduce Negativity In Your Life:  When you find yourself in a slump, it’s real easy to dwell on negativity.  Reducing the negative vibes in our lives can help you successfully get through a slump.  Sometimes that means limiting contact with that family member  or friend that complains about everything.  That also means curtailing  those negative comments we make about ourselves.  If there is negativity in your life, reduce it so you can move forward.

If you have any tips about getting through the post holiday slump please feel to share!

Have a wonderful day!
