30 PLUS STYLE: LBD Lookbook

Happy Tuesday all!

Sadly this is the LAST  30 Plus Style collaboration post.  To say I’ve enjoyed being apart of this collaboration  is an understatement. Being apart of  30 Plus Style has helped me step outside my comfort zone and embrace different trends that I thought I couldn’t pull off (I wore a tutu..A TUTU!). We definitely accomplished our goal of showing stylish plus size women over 30 embracing their themselves.   But mostly it gave me an opportunity to get to know five beautiful chic women and for that I am eternally grateful!

30 Plus Style is  going out with a bang by featuring our take on the LBD (Little Black Dress).  To be completely honest, I don’t own a LBD (shocking, I know! LOL).  I used to own black dresses because when I followed “fashion rules”,  I allowed myself to believe wearing black  would make me look “slimmer” and therefore acceptable.  So when I began embracing my body, my black dresses were the first to go. Since I wasn’t going to go out and buy a black dress I rummaged through my closet and “made” a LBD to wear!   I think I did a pretty good job! I like this so much I think it just might be my NYE outfit!

Please check out the other lovely ladies of 30 Plus Style, our guest bloggers Cynthia from Flight of the Fat Girl and Jennae from Green and Gorgeous to see their take on the LBD!

I have one black sleeveless dress. I think black has sort of an elegance to it and can look sexy too! Love black slacks! I think dark slacks hide more of my cellulite bumps LOL! U have a nice hourglass figure. So do I and it helps to have it sometimes.

Who needs a LBD when you’ve got separates that work so well together? How clever! Speaking for myself, I could not get a dress that looked as fitted without major tailoring. But 2 pieces allow you to customize your look a bit more. And the silver jacket is just the perfect touch. You’ll be rocking NYE! You’re looking lovely.
