Give Them The (White) Boot

TGIF all!

Happy New Year! I wish I could say the new year is off to a great start but the Bomb Cyclone and these arctic temps are making me desperate for 40 degree temperature!

While I haven’t formally made any new year resolutions, I plan to continue to try new trends to enhance my style.  I’ve been wanting a pair of white boots since they showed up on various street style stars during the year.  White boots are very polarizing, either you love them or you hate them.  There is no middle ground when it comes to white boots and shoes.  I own a pair of white pumps but not a pair of ankle boots.  While scrolling through Poshmark (you can shop my Poshmark closet here…lol) I stumbled across these leather Zara booties that were perfect for me.  What was even more perfect was the price.  These boots were originally $120 and I got them for $40!  With a deal like that I couldn’t pass them up.

Now that I have the boots I’ve worn them to work and out with friends.  I’ll admit I was a little apprehensive when I first wore them. I wondered what folks at work would say about my boots.  After a few seconds, I came to my senses and wore them anyway!

Have a great weekend!

So glad you went for it with the white boots. They look great!

Good for you for going with what YOU love, regardless of what others might think.

And isn’t it funny how something as inconsequential as The Color of a Boot can make us feel so…unsure of ourselves or our appearance? It’s a COLOR. You didn’t kick a puppy, you wore a boot in a certain color. Crazy, right?

Happy New Year (from the bomb cyclone as well)!

I need to take a leaf out of your book! So many times I get ready for work and then change because I worry about what my colleagues might think. Ridiculous! The white boots look great on you and I will think of this post next time I go to do a last minute change. Thanks for the inspiration.

As always you look AMAZING. I just LOVE the Christmas decorations in the background, too. Thing is, unless we look horrendous, or are doing something wildly inappropriate, people rarely notice those things that we are really hung up on. White boots are one of them. They are shoes, they are on your feet, they don’t have blood splatters painted on them.. you’re fine!! And they look snappy, btw! Just don’t step into any snow or you’ll think your feet have frozen off at the ankle when u look down. lol. 😉 xo

I went to Zara, and think that anyone who is brave enough to wade through all the clothes, hangers and shoes that litter the floor deserves to find something. As for me, if I’m going to pay $90 for an item of clothing, I’d prefer it not to have muddy footprints on it. Brave you. Me, not so much.
