Day Tripping: Cenntenial Park & The Center For Civil And Human Rights

TGIF all!

Last year when I came to Atlanta for the TCF Syle Expo, I was so busy I didn’t get to do any sightseeing.  This  bummed me out because the last time I visited Atlanta was during the 1996 Summer Olympics.  I promised that if I came back to the Expo I would make time to explore the city.  So when I decided to return to the TCF Style Expo this year, I made sure I came a day early to do just that.

My hotel was only a few blocks away Centential Park so I started there and ended up at the Center For Civil and Human Rights. The museum is dedicated to the Civil Rights movement and the ongoing struggle for human rights across the globe. If you are ever in Atlanta, you MUST visit this museum. It is a deeply moving experience that will definitely give you a new appreciation of the tenacity of the human spirit.

While I throughly enjoyed my time exploring the city, Im super excited to attend the TCF Style Expo for the next two days.  So keep an eye out for my recap next week!

Have a wonderful day!
