TGIF all!

This past Monday I attended the launch of  Lane Bryant’s  latest Cacique collection.  Now let me tell ya, this wasn’t your run of the mill launch (Salt N Pepa performed!)!   This  was a Lane Bryant takeover of NYC!  Their I’m No Angel hashtag  was a loud declaration that ALL bodies are sexy, not unrealistic standards that are promoted in our society.  Their campaign (in my opinion) is not throwing shade at at Victoria’s Secret but directly confronting the skewered  notion that only certain bodies are beautiful. So many women  (including myself) have allowed these beliefs  to diminish our self-esteem and confidence.  Lane Bryant’s message of body acceptance and diversity is something I completely embrace.  Spending the day driving around NYC on a double decker bus plastered with plus size bodies on all sides was so empowering.  As the bus made itself around the city, people literally stopped in their tracks  (especially the men! LOL) and guess what?!  New Yorkers showed us so much love! Everything (including the weather) came together to make it one of best experiences of my blogging career.

So let me say this…you are BEAUTIFUL, you are SEXY and you are FABULOUS exactly the way you are! Say it loud, say it proud…I’M NO ANGEL!
