Weekend Edition: Summer Rewind

Happy Labor Day all!

I hope everyone is enjoying the three day holiday weekend so far.  I’ve been spending this holiday enjoying not doing one darn thing! To me, lazy weekends are the best!

Now that Summer is pretty much over (even the temperature is changing tomorrow), I thought it be cool to pick my favorite outfits of the season.  This Summer I was more open to trying to new color combinations than I was last year. I’ve decided that no matter the season I will always add color to my outfit.  I will be color blocking to the day I die! LOL

What are some of your favorite outfits from this Summer?

Have a wonderful day!

Some great tropical colors here that I like to see on you again. Looking forward to your fall & winter picks.

i love how you dress. so many of the plus size bloggers are much younger than me, so you are a breath of fresh air (along with Curvatude, Chastity and a few others) who are closer to my age and attitude. You always look polished but fun and I love how you use color – I try to do the same thing. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend Ms. G.

Thank you SO much! Im so happy that you feel connected to the blog. I completely understand where youre coming from and that was the main reason I started blogging. I love the white pants and the yellow pants. Where did you get them?
So I’m starting to get in to fatshion blogs and I really enjoy these pictures of beautiful fat women like you (and like me!). But I’m not really relating to the style. I’ve always been a tomboy. I have an amazing sneaker collection, lots of great colors, like cardinal with white stripes, bright blue, rust-colored with black stripes, etc. I like silly colorful t shirts among other things, shirts with pictures from cartoons or books I like. Lately I wore a bright purple shirt with a picture of Harold and the Purple Crayon on it and got loads of compliments. I love horizontal stripes, especially because I grew up hearing that I shouldn’t wear them due to my weight. HA! I like pants that are boot cut or a little wide at the bottom; I don’t really go for skinny jeans or leggings. I’m finding a lot of fatshion to be really feminine, very dress and skirt oriented. That looks great on a lot of girls, but it’s not what I want for myself. Do you know if there is anyone out there who is sportier like me? Or just where to get awesome pants when you’re plus size?

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! I got my pants from Talbots Woman. They make great fitting & quality plus size clothes. I think it’s great you have your own style & aesthetic. Plus size women are just as diverse as any other. I did some research and I hope you like the blogs I found. These women are colorful and have style that is purely their own. They embrace feminine fashion but not exclusively so they do wear sportier items. I hope you like them!

Many plus size retailers have boot cut and wide leg jeans. Check out Torrid (www.torrid.com), Old Navy (www.oldnavy.com), City Chic (www.citychiconline.com) and Simply Be (www.simplybe.com). These sites offer the cut of jeans you are looking for.

I hope I was helpful! Thank you for visiting my blog!
