Catwalk in Aisle 7

Happy Monday everybody!

I should be relaxing on my day off  but  instead I’m trying to finish up my  “To Do” list from the weekend.  When I usually  run errands  I wear jeans, sneakers and a sweater because its quick and easy.  Today I updated my errand “uniform” because you can be stylish and comfortable while going to the grocery store.  Instead of wearing jeans, I wore red cords for a pop of color. I decided to substitute the sweater with a denim shirt.   I slipped on leopard print flats which are just as comfortable as  my sneakers.  By making these simple changes  my boring errand “uniform” turned  into a cute outfit.

Do you have an errand “uniform”? If so, how would you make it more stylish?

Have a wonderful day!

Because I’m retired now, I don’t dress up as much as I’d like. Consequently while grocery shopping ….or….whenever….I use my clothes…I dress up! It’s so fun, and why not? Everyone else wears their sweats, jeans and sweatshirts here in Cali. During the summer I wore a stretchy, cotton black dress, stretchy black belt with a silver buckle and black/tan flat sandals and some type of outstanding jewelry. Now that it’s getting a little chilly, I’m going through my closet to see what other dresses, shoes and wild and crazy nylons I can wear. I even dress up when going to friends dinner parties; I think they really appreciate that I feel that it’s a “special occasion” to be in their home.

I would love to see you what you come up with during the chilly months. Sounds like you have fun with your clothes!

Adorable – and simple. But my problem is motivation. I hate errand days – and I’m afraid I dress like I hate errand days. I get to the grocery store by six AM – so no one sees me there – I can’t imagine dressing for it – I’m terrible I know 🙂

LOL…well its all about what you are comfortable with. If I was going to the grocery store @ 6am I wouldnt be all dressed up either! LOL

Over the summer I challenged myself to wear skirts and dresses while running errands. It was really comfortable, especially with my Sperry Topsiders, i.e. cute sneakers.
Jeans and a sweater sounds nicer than what a lot of people wear. 🙂

I like the pairing of the Topsiders with a sundress!

Errands for me during the winter inevitably means boots, jeans, and a sweater or sweat shirt. In the warmer months I’m a little cuter in a sundress or jean shorts, a tee and strappy sandals.

Best thing about colored cords or jeans is how they make any outfit look more polished. And that trench coat? I DIE!!! 🙂

I totally agree with you. Colored jeans & cords definitely polish up an outfit!

Love! Stylish, comfortable, fantastic! My uniform is similar to this – skinnies and blazers. It’s my go to… maybe a little too safe, lol. But love the red cords and the hint of leather. Beautiful!

Thank you! Skinnies & a blazer beats out sweats & sneakers any day! 🙂
