A Second Time Around

Happy Monday all!

On Saturday I started packing up my Spring/Summer clothes (bummer!) and unpacking my Fall clothes.  It was fun taking out my Fall clothes and seeing what I have.  This time last year I was completely at a lost for how to wear my clothes, but now I’m excited about trying new combos.  My outfit today is one of those experimental combos.  While it’s not earth shattering or avant garde, its different for me.   I’ve had this purple Gap v-neck sweater for almost 3 years and would only pair it with  pants.  I decided to wear it over my favorite JCPenney dress that I wore here.  I added my ASOS Curve skinny bow belt to complete the look.  I’m a huge fan of booties, so this was an opportunity for me to break in my new Bandolino suede booties. While the heel isn’t high, its narrow so needless to say I had a few near slips in the hallway at work today!

Have you unpacked your Fall clothes yet?

Have a wonderful evening!

Dress: JCPenney

Sweater: Gap Outlet

Belt: ASOS Curve

Booties: Bandolino

Yes! May fall wardrobe has been out for a month. It’s the power of wishful thinking, lol!

I love how you threw the sweater on over the dress. Kind of a 70’s retro vibe. Love it!

    • September 25, 2012 / 1:19 pm

Yes, I was thinking 70s too! See great minds think alike!!!

I love, love, love the look of a floral skirt with a pretty fall sweater, but never thought to pull a sweater over a dress! Very cute idea!

    • September 25, 2012 / 1:15 pm

Thank you! Its a great way to get different usage of your clothes. Turning a dress into skirt is something I plan to keep doing!

Fabulous look you have going here … we’re on opposite hemispheres so I’m unpacking spring/summer clothing, but thanks to all you northern ladies, I have lots of inspiration filed away.

    Enjoy the season.

Cute! Here in the South we’re having alternating Fall/Summer weather. Pretty soon we’ll be running the heat at night and the AC during the day. 🙂
I have been experimenting with wearing my favorite cargo pants with wedges and boots instead of Topsiders and sandals as a nod to cooler temps.

    • September 25, 2012 / 1:14 pm

Your experiment sounds fun! I bet the cargo pants look great with the boots!

Girl you look GORG in purple. It is the perfect color for fall and I’ve seen so many beautiful hues of it on the runway. Honestly, I don’t put away anything but my sweaters during the warmer months so that’s all I have to pull back out. In the winter I don’t put away anything form summer, I just layer it up! lol Hope you are well my sweet cyber-friend! Kiah

LOVE it!!! What a fresh, colorful spin on a classic look, and the tied neckline is right on trend. Ahhhhh, how I adore Bandolinos. It seems like I end up buying every pair of Bandolinos that I ever try on at Ross.

    • September 26, 2012 / 1:03 pm

I agree, Bandolino is addictive! I own several pairs myself. They are comfortable, stylish & reasonably priced.

Too cute, and so ladylike. I’ve been wondering when the tights and hose could come out. I guess now’s as good a time as any, huh? I’m so excited to really bust out my fall clothing. I’ve already worn some blazers and cardigans, fall flats, and a khaki corduroy skirt… But I want to wear my brown thrifted sweater dress and boots and tights and things!

    • September 28, 2012 / 1:53 pm

Thank you! Seems like Fall is your favorite season!

      • September 29, 2012 / 12:36 am

It’s definitely right up there! I do also really love winter, lol. I really enjoy the colder months. =] It’s also when my favorite holidays take place.

      • September 30, 2012 / 2:17 pm

While I hate Winter, I agree, it has the best holidays!
