TGIF everyone!
I have a confession to make…I don’t like my left arm. Why? Because its bigger than my right which makes buying long sleeve shirts and blazers difficult. I know this may sound silly but for me it’s something about myself I don’t like. While I dislike my uneven left arm, I’ll still show it love and let it hang out in sleeveless dresses or tops. Basically what I’m trying to say is no matter what you dont like about your body, embrace it. Dont let it stop you from loving yourself or accepting who you are. In light of recent events in this country, life is too short to sweat the small stuff. So be thankful for who you are and rock on!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Hump Day all!
Spring is here! Woo hoo! I’m so looking forward to ditching the down coat and wearing bright colors! . Even though the weather here in Philadelphia is FAR from Spring-like, I still wanted to wear something colorful to mark the occasion.
Speaking of Spring, IGGI has debuted their new Spring Awakening collection that embodies the season with vibrant colors, lush draping and gorgeous prints. In true IGGI style these beautiful dresses highlight and celebrate the curvy/plus body. As you know I’m a sucker for prints, so the Carmelle wrap dress (in the second picture) is a standout for me. What is your favorite?
Have a wonderful day!

TGIF everyone!
There once was a time I believed that plus size women should never wear printed clothing. I thought wearing prints would draw too much attention to my body which would then “invite” negative comments or reactions. So instead of thumbing my nose at those assholes, I gave in and hid myself in the most frumpy clothes I could find. This bold, geometric print INC dress I’m wearing today (from Gwynnie Bee ) would have been a definite “no-no” back then. Thank GOD that Georgette no longer exists! If she did I would’ve missed out on this fab dress that looks GREAT on my voluptuous body. Now, I could give a rats ass about what people might think or say about what I’m wearing. All that matters to me is when you feel good, you look good!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Thursday all!
As you ladies know I love dresses so when IGGI debuted their Cinema Retro collection I was very excited. While viewing the collection, the Sophie Colorblock Dress in black instantly caught my eye. The mix of black, tan and orange was a smart way to remain stylish yet professional at work. The dress has a retro/mod feel to it. The material is very stretchy and hugs your body in a flattering way. While the dress is very light it maintains it’s shape and doesn’t sag . The cinch in front of the dress highlighted my waist and tastefully showed off my curves. I had only one tiny issue with static cling but as the day went on it was less of a problem.
I included some images of the Cinema Retro collection below. There are more items in this collection on IGGI’s website so definitely check them out. As an owner of three IGGI dresses I have not been disappointed. I can say they are dedicated to providing women with fashionable clothing that celebrates our bodies.

TGIF all!
I want to apologize for the lapse in posting. I got sick on Monday and have been out of it until today. I had been having stomach problems for the past few weeks and I just chalked it up to being lactose intolerant. But on Tuesday, things got worse with severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. I knew then it was something more than just lactose intolerance. After spending a few hours in the ER and an ultrasound, I learned that I have gallstones which where causing my symptoms. The doctor advised me that I would have change my eating and adopt a low fat diet avoid further painful episodes. So no more fried and fatty foods which much to my dismay, has been the majority of my diet. It’s one thing to look good on the outside but it’s another to take shitty care of yourself inside. I’m not gonna lie, eliminating a lot of foods that I love has been downright frustrating, but it’s a must. I’ll still enjoy a french fry or naughty desert once in a while but just not every other day.
On a happier note, I feel better and what way to show that by wearing a great dress! When I was contacted by IGIGI to review one of their dresses, I nearly did a somersault! I’ve been a huge fan of IGIGI for a while now, so this was an awesome opportunity. I picked the Isolde Belted Dress in Parisian Green because I wanted something different from the dresses that I normally wear. IGIGI doesn’t shy away from the full figure, they embrace it. The material is not flimsy or thin. It’s well constructed and contours to your body but not constricting. The shape of the dress definitely holds up during the day. I could easily move around due the stretch in the dress. The dolman sleeves don’t swallow up the dress like some dolman sleeve dresses do. I didn’t feel like I had bat wings or extra material under my arms. I like showing off my shape so this might be a little too fitted for some, but go up a size if you want a looser fit. You will still look fabulous!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Thursday all!
I want apologize for my lack of blogging this week. I got KOed by the flu earlier this week and just returned to work today. I feel 100% better now and so happy to be able t0 breathe out of both nostrils!
The dress I’m wearing today is from the Sean Anthony Designs Fall Collection. I bought this dress during their trunk show at BellaNOR Boutique last Saturday evening. BellaNOR is a wonderful plus size boutique here in Philadelphia featuring many labels such as Monif C, Igigi and Kioynna. I’ve driven past the boutique a few times and wanted to stop in but never had the chance so the trunk show was the perfect opportunity to check it out.
I was immediately drawn to the dress because I don’t own a LBD! (bad blogger, bad! LOL). Another thing that drew me in was the asymmetrical neckline. Usually plus size dresses have either a vee or scoop neck so this was different. The dress accentuates your curves but it isn’t tight or constricting. The comfortable knit material has great stretch to it which didn’t ride up when I walked. The length is appropriate for work and looks great with heels. It’s a dress that can easily go from day to night with a switch of shoes and accessories.
I paired my dress with gold accessories and my leopard print kitten heels (which are so comfy I want to wear them everyday!) to finish my outfit. I would definitely recommend you check out Sean Anthony Designs. The collection offers quality clothing at affordable prices. We need to support designers who want to provide stylish, good quality clothing to curvy women . Also if you are in the Philadelphia area, please visit BellaNOR Boutique. The boutique provides a much needed space where the plus size consumer can feel wonderful about herself and her body.
Have a wonderful evening!
