Showing Love….

Happy Valentine’s Day all!

I hope everyone is enjoying their VDay (I’m still snowed in…ARGH!!!). I’ve come to learn that VDay is not only for couples but its a day to show love to family, friends and more importantly yourself.  I want to put a different spin on a traditional VDay post and highlight some brands that deserve some  love this holiday!

Curvaceous K

Curvaceous K is one of the few plus size boutiques in NYC that house curvy labels such as IGGI, Chinoo Designs and MYNT 1792.  Unfortunately they need our help so they can continue to stay open to provide quality clothing to curvy fashionistas.  Curvaceous K owner Kelly has started an Indiegogo campaign to generate funds to help keep her store operating.   As plus size women we all know the frustrations we feel because of the lack of brick & mortar stores for us.  We now have an opportunity to help this boutique in their time of need.  This VDay lets show some love to Curvaceous K and support her amazing boutique.

Josephine Swim

Josephine Swim is a new plus size luxury swim line. They aim to offer chic and quality swimwear to curvy girls.  Josephine Swim is not the frumpy, garish suits of old. These bathing suits aim to highlight and show off your curves.  I already have my eye on theZanibar one piece for the Summer! With sizes ranging from 0x-3x you might find one that appeals to you so definitely show them some love!

IGIGI

iggiIt’s no secret I’m a huge fan of IGIGI and their wonderful dresses.  As you already know IGIGI is all about loving your body and using fashion to express this.  Check out their Spring look book here and show them some love this VDay!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!

I don’t know why you think curvy women should be frustrated because there are no brick and mortar stores that carry plus sizes. Online stores are the “way to now”.Once you know your size, shop in the comfort of your home and have those great item delivered to you right at your door steps. Once you know where to shop for what you need online

I agree that online is the way to go but it can be frustrating not to have the option to go into a store. I believe plus size women should have online AND off line shopping options same as their “straight” sized sisters.
