Spring Transitions

Happy Hump Day all!

This time of year is always tricky for me with DST and the transition of Winter into Spring. Lemme tell ya, DST has been kicking my butt! The time change has thrown off my sleep schedule so much I’ve been dragging myself out the bed in the morning. Last night I was finally able to get a full night of sleep so I hope this is a sign my body has adjusted to the time change. We’ll see!

Now that Spring is a mere week away I so badly want to ditch my down coat and multiple layers but the lingering cold weather won’t allow it. So until the weather warms, my Winter clothes will be sticking around. My outfit today is a combination of both seasons . Representing Winter we have my opaque tights, suede flats and spotted long sleeve cardigan. In the Spring corner we have my yellow pencil skirt, floral necklace and pink belt. The outfit works because I get to feel “Springy” while keeping warm against the late Winter chill.

How do you adjust to Spring transitions?

Have a wonderful day!

  1. So, I especially love the second shot :) but I dearly love the bright skirt with the cozy wintry fabrics. I am STARVED for spring here in the Midwest! I may take a floral maxi dress, belt a cardigan over it, and wear with boots.

  2. You look adorable; DST is killing me too, glad I’m not the only one! I’m wondering if you’d do a post on your journey to/of body love. I’m wrestling with that, and I love your attitude. I love that you wear body con clothing and I want your attitude!

    • Thank you so much! I wrote about my journey to self love here . Trust me, I still have my days when Im not feeling so great but the difference is I refuse to destroy myself. It isnt easy loving yourself in this body obsessed culture but once you get on that road, the journey isnt so hard.

  3. I told people “I am too old for Daylight Savings Time now!” I have not done ANYTHING I usually do this week, hence the lack of outfit posts. But stay tuned to the Floral Spring Trend post tomorrow. Don’t forget yours….

  4. That second photo is so funny. LOL The more we can laugh the better don’t you agree. I love laughing. And again your combination is so nice. And again (third time) I think your necklace is so well chosen and gorgeous.
