Casual Friday/Feel Good Day

TGIF everyone!

There once was a time I believed that plus size women should never wear printed clothing. I thought wearing prints would draw too much attention to my body which would then “invite” negative comments or reactions. So instead of thumbing my nose at those assholes, I gave in and hid myself in the most frumpy clothes I could find. This bold, geometric print INC dress I’m wearing today (from Gwynnie Bee ) would have been a definite “no-no” back then. Thank GOD that Georgette no longer exists! If she did I would’ve missed out on this fab dress that looks GREAT on my voluptuous body. Now, I could give a rats ass about what people might think or say about what I’m wearing. All that matters to me is when you feel good, you look good!

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. You look beautiful.
I agree with you…if you look good you feel good and should never let another person who has the poor judgement to comment on another’s appearance to influence you. I’m glad that you don’t.

  2. Woot Wooooo!!! You are one hot mama. I think this is my favourite yet. You really rock this dress, babe, and that necklace really sets it off. (now, how is that battered old handbag of yours holding up? lol – jk!)

  3. I LOVE what you wrote! and i am so happy you are you – the dress is phenomonal, seriously gorgeous and you always accessorize like a dream – i love the moment when we know it really doesn’t matter what people think, i actually feel really sorry for people who are consumed with bitterness and negativity, how they will never feel joy and freedom – i digress! i adore you! viva la Georgette! x

  4. Oh, Georgette, I haven’t been clothes shopping for a long time but yesterday I ventured into a larger department store type clothing store. Well, I felt like I was in your closet. There were gorgeous stripes, spots, blacks and whites everywhere, with pops of bright colour here and there. You are trendy! lol
