Casual Friday/$40 and Under For Spring

TGIF all!

Here are some of my favorite Spring items that are all $40 and under! There are a lot of great clothes out there  for a gal on a budget.  I already have the  JCPenney dress  (worn here) and I LOVE IT!

What are some of your secrets to shopping on a budget?

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I shop thrift stores and don’t really pay attention to what’s ‘in’ most of the time. I know what I want and what I’m comfortable in, so that’s usually what I buy. My workplace isn’t the dress-up kind of place; casual and comfortable is what I wear most days.

  2. Love these suggestions. I wish I had a JCPenny closer to me in Chicago. They are all out in the burbs. I’ll have to check the next time I’m out in the burbs.
BTW, I just ordered a bunch of things online from Lane Bryant. I realize that I have to try things on in store rather than order online. I pretty much have to return all of it.

    • My JCPenney is in the burbs for me too. It seems like they are attached to huge malls.

I know how you feel about ordering stuff online and not fitting once it gets to you. I ordered a dress from Eloquii & I have to return it for poor fit. *sigh*

  3. Very nice selection – I’ve been looking for the right striped skirt, so am considering this one from Old Navy. Is it a decent weight or is it on the thin side? You always come up with great looks! Probably because your taste seems very similar to mine, LOL! I’m a bargain shopper – I always hit Macys on one day sale – I just bought an Alfani white faux leather jacket with a gold zipper for $40, originally $119. I also do the Ross/Marshalls/TJMaxx thing as others have mentioned. I’ve had some luck with ebay as well but I hate not being able to try things on before purchase so I only buy brands I’m really familiar with. I’d love to get into thrift shopping too but like you, find it really frustrating – mostly because the quality of things I find that fit is not that good….
