Half Way There

Happy Monday all!
So its been seven months since my first post way back in January.  In these seven months I’ve learned so much about myself and blogging.  I find that blogging helps me to continue my journey and keeps me honest. I still struggle with my self-esteem but it’s not nearly as crippling as it used to be.   Your comments and support mean the world to me.  The love you have shown me is tremendous and I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.

With that said I wanted to do a  retrospect of my favorite outfits so far.   These outfits highlight me  becoming  more open to stepping outside my comfort zone and taking a risk.

On another note, if you live  in Philadelphia  or in the surrounding areas, please come out and support Curvy Closet’s event on Saturday September 1st.   The event looks like is going to be a lot of fun.  Plus there will be an opportunity to shop til you drop so check it out!

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Fantastic – oh the pink – and I’m not big on pink but you pull it off – my fav is the black with the yellow cardigan – perfect – all beautiful, most of all the smile. Well done.

  2. These are all great, especially the last one, but my personal favorites are your lavender cocktail dress and the black & white striped Jones NY dress.

  3. i love all the looks and want your wardrobe! hehe, i love what you said – its so sweet, the blogsphere is wonderful and how you inspire us is fabulous too, i’m on my hols very soon and for the first time i am excited about my wardrobe and that is due to the amazing example of yourself and other bloggers – i want to look fabulous! x

  4. Great look back. I’ve always loved your ability to mix patterns and bright colors. How exciting is it that we started our blogs in the same month? Twinsies!

  5. OMG, you have such great style and are always fabulous and spot on! Can I raid your closet? :D Anyway, I started my blogging in January, too, and it’s crazy to think how far I’ve come in finding my own style since then. A year ago, I wouldn’t have dreamt at wearing the cute stuff I do now. Way to go on how far you’ve come too, babe! :)

    1. Only if I can raid yours! :) Yes its amazing how far we’ve come since then. Like you a year ago I wouldve never thought to wear a leopard print skirt or anything showing off my curves. Im glad we’ve come so far!

  6. Absolutely gorgeous and beautiful styles!! Your use of textures, colors, and fashion pieces are inventive, interesting, flattering and daring….great job!!

  7. Congrats on the blog.
I’ve recently found your blog and am about to go back and read all of your posts, as it looks to me that you and I are about the same size (?only guessing?) and a very similar body shape.
Hoping to take some inspiration from the shapes and styles you wear (I definitely need it).

  8. Just found your blog…love it. I love curvy women who show confidence, something i lack. You look so pretty yet approachable. I absolutely love the last look, the back and white with the yellow cardigan…im going to try to copy that one! Your best accessory is your smile. Im sure everyone tells you that.

  9. I’ve done so much clicking I’m not even sure how I got over into your space. Add to that, I’m almost ALWAYS a lurker & not a commenter be :-), but I HAD to comment. I read what you said about struggling with your self esteem, then i looked at your pictures. YOU LOOK FABULOUS!!!

When I read what you wrote, I had no reaction positive or negative, because lots of women feel that way to some extent, myself included. However, from my side of the screen, I’d have never thought it of you because–again–YOU LOOK FABULOUS!!!

I love your style and you top it off with a beautiful smile. Keep rockin’ it cuz you are doing the doggone thing.

  10. Here from Already Pretty’s links as well. You’re gorgeous, and I LOVE your sense of style. I’d try to pick a favorite, but everyone of your pictures has at least one item I covet or one style choice I suddenly want to try. Glad to have found you!

(Also, apologies if this is a doublepost.)

  11. I love your style! You have inspired me to step out of my box (TONS of black) and into the world of color! I bought myself a pair of red pants, too, and I love them! I really like your peplum top and tuxedo jacket with the pants – I am going to borrow that look!
