Sugar & Spice and Everything Nice!

Happy Hump Day all!

I wanted my outfit today to be a complete 360 from what I wore on Monday. I decided to embrace my girly side by wearing this wonderful layered midi skirt from ASOS . As you know I’m all about keeping cool but professional when it comes to work wear. This skirt fits the bill because the material is light and fluid. I like how it seems to float when I walk. Like most of my skirts, it’s a tad big in the waist but I can live with it. It felt natural to pair my pink blazer with this light blue skirt. You can’t go wrong with that classic combo! I like keeping things simple (especially in the Summer) so I went with my white sleeveless blouse to wear under my blazer. To complete my girly look, I added my faux Michelle Obama pearls (as my friends call them!) and teal suede pumps (totally out of season but they work with this outfit so here they are!).

How do you embrace your girly side?

Skirt: ASOS Curve
Shirt: Old Navy
Blazer: Gap
Shoes: Naturalizer
Necklace: Lane Bryant

I love the colors in this look! I like lace details for an extra feminine umph to an outfit. The tank top I’m wearing right now has crocheted lace straps 🙂
It makes me smile to see you and Katie commenting back and forth 🙂 I knew you guys would like each other!

Congratulations on being Freshly Pressed !! Just wanted to let you know you are my new favorite person !! I love your style. I especially love this outfit with the color blocking. Kudos to you for bringing style and fun for curvy women. I find myself being lazy when it comes to style. I think I need make-up lessons badly. Don’t know whether to invite a Mary Kay lady to the house or visit Dillard’s cosmetic counter. Any suggestions?
